Workshops
We have developed a series of workshops that aim to be part of a positive, embedded SMSC and Religious Education curriculum. The workshops aim to give children opportunities to develop the skills they are already learning in school in fun, active, collaborative ways. Sessions last 50 minutes and may require the use of a school hall.
Religious Education
Several workshops have been planned around the dispositions in the guidance of the Statutory Birmingham Agreed Syllabus. All workshops
teach about the practice and traditions of
a key Faith, as well as encouraging
participants to learn from the practice
of that Faith through reflection.
British Values
Kids UK Primary Partnership provides specific
workshops relating to British Values as
outlined in Ofsted Inspection Handbook
September 2015. They focus on our
personal responsibility to consider the
views of others fairly.
SMSC (spiritual, moral, social and cultural)
Kids UK can help to contribute to a 'thoughtful and wide-ranging promotion of pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development' (Ofsted Inspection Handbook 2018) through workshops and assemblies (Collective Worship).
Transition
The ‘It’s Your Move’ (Scripture Union) session offers children an opportunity to have their questions about
the move to Secondary School
answered. It helps to prepare
them for the
next stage
in their
education.
