PSP

Listening Ears

Through PSP, we can provide our ‘Listening Ears’ program.

The one-to-one support sessions take place in school, during the school day. They typically involves seeing a child for approximately  20 minutes per week and

would usually continue

for a term or longer if

needed.

‘Listening Ears’ is ideal

for children who need a

little extra time to talk through the challenges they are facing. This could be anything from a recent family separation, anxiety, bereavement or any other challenges that may affect their day to day life.

Our senior mentors are  level 3 trained and all our sessions are children lead and designed to

cater for their individual needs.

(PSP+)

Listening Ears + Workshops + Assemblies

PSP+ offers the Listening Ear program as well as access to six workshops per term and six school assemblies per year led by one of the Kids UK team.

Workshops

We have developed a series of workshops that aim to be part of a positive, embedded SMSC and Religious Education curriculum. The workshops aim to give children opportunities to develop the skills they are already learning in school in fun, active, collaborative ways. Sessions last 50 minutes and may require the use of a school hall.

Assemblies

Our assemblies include ‘Collective Worship’ which makes reference to the Spiritual, moral and social aspect of SMSC.

For PSP+ schools, a member of the Kids UK team will be available provide your school with 2 assemblies per term (one each half term).
